Whose side is my GP on?

Yours. GPs have a vital advocacy role to play in helping you deal with work-related injury or ill health. Many patients do not have union representation or a safety rep at work. A well-informed GP can provide you with vital advice and support and, with your consent, relay this advice to your employer.

Make sure to get individual advice on your case from your union, a source on our free help page or an independent financial advisor before taking any action.
