There are a variety of scenarios in which you might be asked or encouraged to contact occupational health (OH). For example:
- when you are off sick for more than two or three weeks;
- if you have a pattern of short-term absence that might have an underlying medical reason;
- where you are considering a return to work after ill health or injury and your employer needs to think about what permanent or temporary adjustments might be needed to help you return to work successfully; or
- where you are displaying any symptoms that might be linked to the way in which you carry out your work.
