Workers with a disability are protected by laws prohibiting disability discrimination in the Equality Act 2010. Disability discrimination laws cover all employers, no matter how many people they employ. There is no length of service requirement. You are protected if you are a job applicant, agency worker or employee. The Equality Act prohibits unlawful discrimination against a disabled person in employment. It also obliges your employer to make reasonable adjustments to help you stay in your job.
