I see that new regulations about asbestos became law in 2012. What has changed?

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 were introduced to bring the UK into line with European law.

However, in practice, very little has changed. The new regulations mean that some types of non-licensed work with asbestos now have additional requirements for notification of work, medical surveillance and record-keeping. Everything else stays the same.
