My GP says I am well enough to go back to work but my employer doesn’t agree. What should I do?

If you are fit and willing to return to your job, then you have the right to be paid.

Unless there is clear wording in your contract saying something different, your employer has no right to withhold your wages while it decides (for example, by asking you to see a company doctor) whether or not you are well enough to return.
