There is no clear evidence of computer work presenting a health risk, but to avoid stress and anxiety, many employers advise their staff to approach their team leader or supervisor, to discuss their concerns. If your concerns remain following this discussion, you should while pregnant be able to:
- transfer to other work away from your computer/display screen equipment; and
- transfer on your existing grade (salary and conditions) with no demotion. As long as working conditions are protected, you may agree to a temporary transfer to another section or department.
