I suffer from a build-up of ear wax. Is it caused by my headset?

It could be. Ear wax, produced by glands in the ear canal, cleans and moistens the canal. Usually, wax is produced in small quantities, and emerges naturally from the ear. Blockage can be caused by excessive secretion of wax, perhaps because the headset inhibits the clearing of the wax, or by an object, such as an earpiece, being pushed into the ear. Either cause is associated with headset use.
