What is Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)?

The National Association for Premenstrual Syndrome (NAPS) defines PMS as: "The recurrence of a combination of distressing physical, psychological and behaviour changes in the latter half of your menstrual cycle. In severe cases, these changes can lead to a breakdown of your relationships at home, at work and among friends. Your normal lifestyle can be severely disrupted."
