Why do employers provide an occupational health service?

Employers' occupational health (OH) services help them to fulfil their statutory duties to ensure a safe and healthy working environment. They undertake risk assessments, carry out health surveillance, protect vulnerable people and people with disabilities, and help employers to support the general health and well-being of their staff.
