How much should I get paid as an apprentice?

Apprentices are entitled to at least the National Minimum Wage. As of 1 April 2017, this is £3.50 per hour for apprentices aged 16 to 18, or aged 19 but in the first year of their apprenticeship. All other apprentices are entitled to the National Minimum Wage for their age. Employers may pay more than the minimum wage at their discretion.
