What if I get my promotion?

Congratulations, but don't forget the workers! Take everything you know about being managed and about your previous role and use it to inform the way you operate in your new position. Remember any criticisms you may have had of your predecessor and make it one of your goals to prevent those criticisms ever being made of you. You may also need some formal training to help you with the new managerial relationships that come with your new role. You may have moved up the ladder, but don't forget: you should never stop learning.
