If you are contractually obliged to wear a uniform, you will find it very difficult to argue against wearing it just because you think it is hideous.
A good employer should have consulted on the new uniform before introducing it.
If there is a union in your workplace, and the changes are unpopular with the staff, you could ask your union representative to try to negotiate changes to the uniform that would be acceptable to everyone.
