The tribunal can order reinstatement or re-engagement if you win a dismissal case, as long as you have indicated on your ET1 Form that you want reinstatement or re-engagement, rather than just compensation.
In practice, re-employment is rare. Less than one per cent of claimants get their job back. Most successful claimants get compensation only. Even when tribunals make such an order, employers commonly refuse to implement it. If your employer refuses to comply, you have to apply again to the tribunal. It will probably award you additional compensation in such a situation.
