If your adoption placement is disrupted during adoption leave – for example, because it is terminated or because the child to be adopted dies – you are entitled to remain on adoption leave and continue receiving adoption pay for up to eight weeks after the week that the disruption occurs, although not beyond the original end date of the adoption leave.
