Does my previous employment count towards my continuity of service when I am transferred to a new owner?

Yes. Under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (commonly called TUPE), your terms and conditions of employment are protected if you are transferred to the new business. The effect of the transfer is as if you were still employed by your previous employer.
