Is there a minimum wage for children who work?

There is no minimum wage protection for children under 16. If you are under 16 and taking a part-time job, make sure you understand how much your employer will be offering you for the work before accepting. In addition, only workers aged 16 and over are entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
